Manchester United have been trying to push through a move for Armenian hot-shot Henrikh Mkhitaryan over the last few days, and that transfer could have gotten closer. According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United have upped their offer in the hunt for the Dortmund winger.
That increased bid is believed to be somewhere around the £28million mark after add-ons and bonuses. With Mkhitaryan only having twelve months left on his current deal, Manchester United will be fully aware that they could land him during this window.
Up until this point, the German side have remained very resilient on their stance which is fair enough, especially as they’ve already sold a couple of key players this window.
In terms of what type of player Manchester United would be getting, they’d be investing in a man who scored 21 goals, and also added 20 assists last season. He has pace, skills and a real eye for a pass, so it could well be worth the gamble.
