Manchester United have three youngsters nominated for major award

Its about that time of year when individual awards for the worlds best performers start being identified, and the shortlists are being drawn up for several of the most prestigious honours. One of those is the World Golden Boy award, given to the best youngster in the game.

Manchester United have been winners of this award previously, with the likes of Wayne Rooney and Anderson taking the honours, and this year the club have three players in the running.

First off is Anthony Martial who has made a blistering start to life at Old Trafford. The young Frenchman set the world alight with a stunning solo goal at home to Liverpool, and has backed that up by adding more goals coupled with some all-round great performances.

Second on the list is Luke Shaw. Despite suffering an horrific injury, his efforts over the past twelve months have been recognised by the panel of selectors which is great to see.

Last but not least we have Adnan Januzaj. The Belgian is currently out on loan and playing his football for Borussia Dortmund where he is making a good impression. Hopefully he’ll come back to United next summer hungrier the ever.

Any one of these players could win the award, but Martial in particular has a great shot at going all the way and scooping this major personal coup.
