Manchester United hero bemoans big Louis van Gaal decision against Stoke

Manchester United slumped to a 2-0 defeat away at Stoke City yesterday, with Louis van Gaal’s job looking even more unstable at this point in time. One former Old Trafford hero is Dwight Yorke, who bemoaned the Iron Tulip for leaving Wayne Rooney on the bench.

“To leave your captain out is a big call. It went against Van Gaal today and that was the wrong move.” Dwight Yorke began. “It was painful watching them, they were short in every department.”

“They need the likes of a Hernandez or Solskjaer because that scoring spark is lacking, but we can’t bring those players back.”

Manchester United are extremely lightweight up front at the moment, with only two recognised strikers in the first-team fold at the moment. It was a huge call leaving Wayne Rooney out, but the fans have been asking for the captain to be dropped for a while now, and when that finally happened it looked as though we did in fact need him to start.
