Marcus Rashford is an injury worry for Manchester United’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The man from Wythenshawe was taken off after 67 minutes when United took on Swansea City, and apparently, he was carrying a knock when he left the field.
United’s man of the moment was important to his team in progressing into the next round, picking up an assist, he wasn’t moving freely and Rashford has handed Mourinho another selection headache.
Things just aren’t looking too clever for the Red Devils on the injury front. We still haven’t been given an official update on Paul Pogba’s fitness, it doesn’t look like Marouane Fellaini will be available, and who knows what’s wrong with Michael Carrick.
Losing Rashford for any length of time would spell disaster. He’s been the shining light in a sticky patch for Mourinho, and to go into tricky fixtures against both Tottenham and Chelsea without one of our key players would be a colossal blow.
This fixture against Mauricio Pochettino’s men is an opportunity to prove the doubters wrong. Coming off a tough loss at the hands of Huddersfield Town, we sit five points off the pace. We need to get back to winning ways, and beating Spurs would send out a huge message.
