Manchester United hit with another injury blow as star out for season: report

Manchester United’s injury luck has been nothing short of awful recently. As we all know, both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo are out for the season with ligament injuries. Now, it looks as though another player will be joining them on the sidelines for the remainder of the campaign.

The man in question is Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who picked up a shoulder problem in the dying embers of the 0-0 draw against Manchester City. Now, the Dutchman is expected to miss the remainder of the season, as per the Daily Telegraph.

Jose Mourinho must be concerned. The injuries are mounting up, and it couldn’t have come at a worse time for us, particularly as we’re still fighting it out on two fronts and all of our games from here on out are must wins.

Alright, Fosu-Mensah hasn’t been a regular this season, but with injuries to Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and the aforementioned Rojo, you felt like it was a good opportunity for him to make his impression on the manager; unfortunately, that chance has been cruelly taken away from him.

Obviously he’s young at 19, and time is on his side, but he must be disappointed with the amount of minutes he has had this term. I guess Fosu-Mensah will be looking forward to getting back fit and trying again next season. I wouldn’t be against sending him out on loan…
