Manchester United take on Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup tomorrow, in a game that’ll certainly prove to be a tough task against the Championship side. Before the game Louis van Gaal met the media to discuss his thoughts on the upcoming match and the shape of the squad.
The manager was asked about United’s injury list ahead of the game, in particular Antonio Valencia who hobbled off with what looked like a hamstring problem.
“Of course, Valencia is injured – that we could all see in the last game.” Louis van Gaal said.
This is a huge blow to United. Louis van Gaal clearly likes the pace and attacking threat of Antonio Valencia coming from that right-back slot, and he certainly justified his selection in the Manchester derby.
With games coming thick and fast during the hectic winter period, lets hope he won’t face too long out on the sidelines and he can come bcd in the not too distant future.
