Manchester United’s coaching staff will be preparing heavily for the upcoming derby on September 10th, with Mourinho’s men starting the season with a perfect three wins out of three; a run they’ll be keen on continuing. City themselves are on an excellent win streak too, matching us with a 100% win record.
Ahead of that game, Jose Mourinho could’ve been dealt a cruel injury blow, as Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan was subbed off due to a heavily collision suffered in their friendly last night.
The 27-year-old was hauled off in the 36th minute due to the issue, and the injury seems to be relating to his ribs. The obvious worst case scenario is a broken or cracked rib which could keep him out of action for a considerable amount of time.
However, journalist Artur Petrosyan seems fairly confident that Mkhitaryan was brought off as a precaution, and hopefully, it isn’t anything too serious.

It could be a precaution from Mkhitaryan to ask to be replaced. Something with ribs in the worst scenario, but probably nothing serious.
