Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is hopeful that both Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return at the end of the month, the gaffer confirmed while speaking to MUTV.
Ibrahimovic did supremely well to return to fitness following that horrific knee injury that the big man suffered, but he’s been setback somewhat since. Perhaps he returned too soon, but I guess that shows the desire and hunger of the man.
As for Bailly, his season has been stop-start and that’s a huge blow. He’s by far and away our best defender and to be without him for a prolonged period of time has hampered us hugely.

The fact that we’re likely to get the pair back before February ends is huge, particularly as that’s when our Champions League campaign restarts following the winter break.
Bailly oddly brings both calmness and aggressiveness to the back line, and I’ve no doubt that the Red Devils will concede far less goals upon his return. I just hope that when he makes his comeback, he can remain fit for the remainder of the campaign.
Zlatan, well, he’s Zlatan. You know exactly what you’re going to get from him, and I’ve no doubt he’s got a few important goals left in him yet.
