Manchester United hammered Stoke City 3-0 yesterday evening, with Louis van Gaal’s side putting in an outstanding performance from minute one. However, Ryan Giggs wasn’t present on the bench for the match, with reports suggesting he could be on his way out of Old Trafford.
Those rumours have since been quashed, and the Independent newspaper say that the Welshman missed the game de to an illness in his family. Hopefully this isn’t anything too serious, and his relative can return to full health as soon as possible.
United’s win was definitely one of the better performances we’ve seen this season, and it feels like Louis van Gaal has allowed his side to show a bit more creative freedom which is excellent to see.
Hopefully this can continue going into the business end of the season, and who knows, there could well be a chance for a late surge at the title if we keep playing like this.
