Manchester United’s January has been extremely quiet in terms of transfers, with Louis van Gaal seemingly content with his current squad going into the second half of the season. Planning for the summer has already began though, if reports coming out of Portugal are to be believed.
O’Jogo say that Manchester United and SL Benfica are in ‘advanced negotiations’ regarding the signature of the highly sought-after star, Renato Sanches.
The 18-year old attacking midfielder has been thoroughly impressing back in his homeland this season, and some of the biggest clubs in the world are keen on him.
O’Jogo say that United have offered €30million to Benfica, plus a huge €10million in add-ons based on individual performances as well as club goals.
As always with youngsters, its a risk as they don’t always turn into the player you expect, but hopefully, if this transfer does go through, Sanches can come in and hit the ground running similarly to Anthony Martial.
