Manchester United’s interest in Zlatan Ibrahimovic is clear for all to see, with Jose Mourinho keen to add the influential Swede to the squad. However, that doesn’t seem to be the only front man that our new coach wants to bring in during this transfer window.
That’s according to Italian journalist Matteo Pedrosi, who earlier on, tweeted that Manchester United are in talks to sign Breel Embolo from FC Basel. Pedrosi went on to add that a deal is not close at this point in time, but talks are progressing.
Embolo is a 19-year-old forward who is currently representing his native Switzerland at the European Championships, however, judging by his stats he isn’t the most prolific of front men.
Obviously that may all change as his career progresses, but it seems like a bit of a wasted move, especially when we have starlets like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial already on the books.
