Manchester United’s squad is seriously depleted in-terms of left-backs at the moment, with Luke Shaw done for the season, and both Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young both out for the foreseeable future after undergoing surgery on their respective problems.
Louis van Gaal is keen to add a left-back to the squad this month in order to solve that problem, and according to the Daily Mail, the club are in talks with an unnamed player in that position about making the move this month.
Its tough to work out who that could be, and you don’t imagine it’d be a big name, and its more likely to be a short-term fix. Patrice Evra would certainly be a decent option for now until the end of the season, and it would be brilliant to see the popular Frenchman take to the Old Trafford turf for another six months.
