Manchester United are after a big name striker this summer, with Louis van Gaal looking to bolster his attacking options. One man who has often been linked with a move to Old Trafford is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Le10Sport (via Sport Witness) say United are still favourites to sign him.
The 34-year old is out of contract in the summer, having deciding to not renew with Paris Saint-Germain out in France. As you’d imagine a whole host of clubs in the Premier League are sniffing around the Swede, who could well be that figurehead United have been missing.
Le10Sport go on to say that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would only be interested in a move to Manchester United if Jose Mourinho is the manager next summer.
It would be a huge gamble to bring in Zlatan. Lets face it, despite all his talents he isn’t getting any younger and he’d probably command huge wages. If he picked up one serious injury that could be curtains on his career, with United left to pick up the pieces.
