Manchester United Football Club raked in a huge £80million when they gave in to Real Madrid and sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Spain. Now, the former old Trafford hero is being linked with a move back to Manchester, but he’d certainly cost a pretty penny.
According to the Spanish media outlet AS, Real Madrid have put the 31-year old up for sale, and both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in bringing the Portuguese international in – with Madrid wanting a €60million transfer fee.
Its a tough one with Cristiano Ronaldo. Obviously there are no doubting his talents, but bringing in a player who is in the latter stages of his career for that kind of money will always be a gamble, no matter who it is.
Now Manchester United are one of the few clubs who are blessed with the ability to take that risk, but I just feel that if United were to bring Ronaldo back, it should have happened a few years ago rather than now.
