Manchester United interested in Porto left-back

Manchester United have seemingly turned their attention to Porto left-back Alex Sandro after Everton have stalled on any potential deal for Leighton Baines, according to the Metro. The 22-year old has played 45 times for Porto, after making an £8m move from Santos.

It is thought that David Moyes watched Alex Sandro, as his Porto side took on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last week. It is also understood that he had a keen eye on Atletico’s Koke in the same game.

From what i’ve seen of Sandro he looks like a very solid left-back, and at just 22-years old he has plenty of developing to do. He’d cost a fair bit though, as Porto are renowned for getting the most money out of clubs for their players. He’s young and talented, but personally I’d prefer to bring in Luke Shaw as he knows the English game already.
