Manchester United will have big bucks to spend when the transfer window officially opens this coming June, whether or not Louis van Gaal is the man in charge of that huge war-chest. According to The Sun, Manchester United have set their sights on one of the best in the world.
The English media publication state that Manchester United are interested in securing the services of Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann in a deal thought to cost the club around £65million.
Griezmann, 25, is wanted as the first signing of a huge summer revamp expected at Old Trafford this summer, and if United can land him it would certainly be a real statement of intent.
You’d feel that if Manchester United want to lure the likes of Griezmann to the red half of the city, then Champions League football is an absolute must. At this time it looks highly unlikely that Louis van Gaal will be able to secure that, which would be a real cause for concern for any players who are thinking about a Manchester United switch.
