It feels like the hectic summer window has only just passed by, but Louis van Gaal’s work at Old Trafford is clearly far from done. The Dutchman has plenty of plans for his side as he looks to turn them into title contenders once again.
The rumour-mill is back in full swing already, and according to SportBild, Manchester United have registered an interest in the Wolfsburg left-back, Ricardo Rodriguez.
The Swiss international is one of the best wing-backs in world football despite being just 23-years old. If United did sign him, it makes you wonder about Luke Shaw’s long-term future at the club.
It would seem odd to have two world class left-backs in the side, unless he plans to use Ricardo Rodriguez further up the field, or even in a centre-back role. We’ll just have to be patient and wait and see…
