Manchester United are rapidly approaching the halfway point of of Louis van Gaal’s reign at Old Trafford, but the hierarchy at the Theatre of Dreams will already have one eye on potential successors for the Iron Tulip. The latest name to come out of the hat is Pep Guardiola.
The current Bayern Munich manager is at the top of Manchester United’s wish list when Louis van Gaal leaves, according to the Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Josep Guardiola is one of the best managers in the game at the moment. He won all there was to whilst over in Spain with Barcelona, and now he is certainly mimicking that with some brilliant football out in Bavaria.
Reports earlier in the week suggested that Pep Guardiola would prefer a move over to Manchester United rather than our local rivals City, so if the interest from the club is genuine, we could well have one of the best managers in the world at the helm in the not too distant future.
