According to the Daily Mail, David Moyes is eager to bolster his midfield options come January, and top of that list is Derby County starlet Will Hughes. The 50-year old Scot recently claimed that buying in January isn’t ideal, but making a couple of decent signings could be the difference between winning and losing the title.
Will Hughes, 18, is predominantly left-footed and has already made fifty appearances for Derby and four England U21s caps, but he missed last nights U21s game due to a groin injury.
Derby Manager Steve McClaren said:
‘Our job is to make sure he makes it.
‘Eventually he will be too good. What we need behind that is players coming through to replace him.’
Although a potentially brilliant player, we need someone who can come in and make a difference straight away. Who that player is I’m not too sure as most of the world class midfielders have either already moved to a new club in the summer, or are happy at the club they are at now. Ander Herrera was a target in August, but he’s struggling to get in the Athletic Bilbao team as of late let alone Manchester United!
