Manchester United had a solid summer transfer window, bringing in some huge names in key areas of the field that strengthened the overall look of the squad. However Louis van Gaal clearly feels more work needs to be done, with the transfer window looming.
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United could make a return bid for Southampton’s Sadio Mane – a player that Louis van Gaal made a move for in the summer, but their bid was immediately rejected.
The Senegal international is in good form for club at the moment, and Manchester United’s interest in adding more pace to the squad is certainly backed up by this move.
He obviously wouldn’t come cheaply though. The bid over the summer was thought to be around the £25million mark and that was knocked back so you’d imagine it’d take in excess of £30million for Southampton to even entertain an offer.
