Manchester United have had an extremely quiet January transfer window in terms of players coming into the club, but plenty of young starlets have left on loan. However that may be about to change, if the latest reports coming out of the Daily Mail are to be believed.
They say that Manchester United are keen to land MLS and New York Red Bulls’ latest starlet, Matt Miazga. The 20-year old defender is thought to be headed to England this month, with a whole of of clubs interested in signing him.
It would certainly make sense to bring him in, as Louis van Gaal is clearly keen on adding a centre-back to the squad this summer to bolster options going into the second half of the season.
However signing Miazga would be a massive risk as he is definitely improved in Europe’s top leagues, and we have no idea how he’ll cope with the pressures of Manchester United.
