Manchester United Football Club are apparently keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur left-back, Danny Rose. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who say that Jose Mourinho is weighing up a potential move for the Englishman next summer; but only if Luke Shaw fails to impress.
Their sources say that Shaw is going to get one final chance during this coming season, but if not, United will make a move for a potential replacement. Rose, along with Kieran Tierney of Celtic have already been scouted by the Old Trafford club.
You definitely feel that this is make or break for Shaw. Alright, he’s had his fair share of injuries – and some serious ones at that, but it’s now or never for the former Southampton man.
He started out so well at United but things quickly deteriorated. Even when he was fit last term, for the most part, Mourinho opted to play Matteo Darmian out there.
I just pray that he can remain injury free for a prolonged period of time and then make that left-back spot his own. Shaw is an immensely talented young man who needs to put his time out on the treatment table behind him. However, if he cannot do that, then next summer it will be time for Jose Mourinho to move on.
