Manchester United could certainly be investing heavily over the summer, largely down to the huge television deal that comes into place starting next season. Big money will definitely be spent by all clubs in the country, but not many can compete with United’s financial backing.
According to Football Insider, that could start with a move for Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, with Manchester United keeping tabs on his situation due to his lack of playing time at the Emirates.
It is believed that the 22-year old is growing increasingly frustrated with life in London, and could well consider a move away despite currently in contract talks at this point in time.
Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a huge asset if Manchester United can lure him to Old Trafford. He’s versatile, quick, intelligent and strong, but he’d certainly cost plenty of money and The Gunners would definitely prefer to sell him abroad if the option is there.
