Manchester United key squad member to miss tour due to injury

Manchester United and Jose Mourinho have suffered their first injury setback of the season. Young left-back, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, has been left out of the tour squad due to an ongoing groin problem. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News.

The English media outlet say that the 19-year-old isn’t thought to miss too much football, and could be back to full fitness before the end of next week. That means that he could be in contention to feature in the Community Shield at the start of August.

You feel it’s a huge year for Borthwick-Jackson. He really hit the ground running under Louis van Gaal last term, and he is one of the best crossers of a ball we’ve seen in recent times.

Hopefully, Mourinho gives him his big chance at times during the coming campaign because he more than deserves the opportunity based on the glimpses of him we’ve seen so far.
