Manchester United added considerable quality to their squad over the summer, with Louis van Gaal bringing in plenty of players in key areas of the field. However the Dutchman has already said the squad still needs some extra work doing to it to improve it further.
One position that could do with some strengthening is the attacking third of the pitch, and according to the Spanish publication Fichajes, Manchester United are leading the charge to bring Antoine Griezmann to Old Trafford next summer.
The Frenchman has been in sensational form for club and country over the last eighteen months or so, and has certainly improved his stock in the world game.
His current side Atletico Madrid are certainly reaping the benefits at this moment in time and they obviously wouldn’t want to lose one of their key men for a low fee. It could well cost in excess of £35-40million to land the 24-year old, but it’d definitely be worth it.
