Manchester United legend bemoans Van Gaal’s ‘rigid’ tactics

Manchester United are rapidly falling down the Premier League table at the moment, with Louis van Gaal’s side struggling to find the back of the net whatsoever. Rio Ferdinand has had his say on the situation, and says it all comes back to the managers ability to not get the best out of our strikers.

“Van Gaal seems to struggle to get the best out of forwards with his strict and rigid tactics.” Ferdinand said. “Robin van Persie suffered under him at United as did Angel Di Maria, Adnan Januzaj and Javier Hernandez.”

I agree that Louis van Gaal does struggle to get 100% out of his strikers, but to name the likes of Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez is a bit much. Everyone was calling for the sale of those two, but it feels like the Dutchman hasn’t brought in sufficient players to replace them, and thats his big mistake for me.
