Manchester United legend wants to make return to Old Trafford and end career here

Manchester United are a football club draped in rich history with legends galore, and it’s always nice to see those icons and heroes spend their days at the Theatre of Dreams. Now, it looks to be the wish of a certain overseas player who just ‘gets’ United like no other, to do the absolute same.

The man in question is none other than French left-back Patrice Evra, who made the move to Manchester United in January 2006, and after a troubled start, he nailed down that spot and made it his own.

Now 33, Evra won it all at Old Trafford, and it was a real shame when he left the club when Louis van Gaal was appointed boss.

According to The Times and Paul Hirst, Evra wants to come back to Manchester United and end his career here, which, in my opinion, would be absolutely perfect.

Evra has lost his place in the Juventus side to Alex Sandro, and he would probably struggle to nail down a regular starting berth at Old Trafford. However, I’d love to see him back purely for sentimental value.

Will it happen? I’ve no idea, but you wouldn’t put it past Jose Mourinho to bring him back just to lift the squad inside the changing room. We all know Paddy Evra would be perfect at that…
