Manchester United will have a huge amount of money to spend in the summer, whoever the manager may be. The transfer rumours have already begun, and the latest story to come out of The Sun suggests a move for Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane.
They say that Manchester United are lining up a £25million bid for Real Madrid’s French centre-back, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Spain due to a lack of playing time.
It is thought that United had the chance to sign Varane five years ago, when the club were seriously interested in his services. However they chose to bring in Phil Jones from Blackburn Rovers instead.
Varane has struggled with life at the Bernabeu, as he has been unsuccessful in his attempts to displace the regular partnership of Sergio Ramos and Pepe at the heart of Real’s defence.
Now a move away is on the cards, and at this point in time Manchester United are looking like the frontrunners.
