Manchester United will have a huge amount of money available for Jose Mourinho to spend this summer, and plans will already be well underway. According to The Sun, the Old Trafford club have already offered a huge £60million to Juventus, to acquire the services of Paul Pogba.
That would be a British transfer record if the deal were to go through, beating United’s £58.7million move for Angel di Maria two years ago.
In infamous circumstances, Paul Pogba walked out on Manchester United for free a few years ago, as he became frustrated at a lack of playing time. Now Jose Mourinho wants to bring him back to the Theatre of Dreams, as he sees Pogba as a key figure in the rebuilding job he has to undertake.
When you break down the deal, it is worth an astronomical £48million up front, plus an extra £12million in add-ons and bonuses depending on individual and team success.
It would be a huge statement of intent from Manchester United, who are clearly trying to send out a message ahead of the 2016/17 season.
