Manchester United make Brazilian one of their top priorities this summer

Manchester United will surely have big summer plans when the transfer window opens in June, whether Louis van Gaal is the man in charge or not. The club will certainly have to splash the cash in order to make the team title challengers once again.

According to Le Parisien, a paper out of the French capital, Manchester United have identified Paris Saint-Germain’s Brazilian defender Marquinhos as one of their top priorities this summer.

Its a move that would certainly make sense. Yes, Daley Blind has done a decent job filling in at centre-back this term, but he definitely isn’t a long-term solution.

Chris Smalling has been crying out for a centre-back partner who can sit alongside him for a number of years, and thats something that Marquinhos would certainly offer.

He’s a ball-playing centre-half with plenty of talent but he certainly wouldn’t be cheap, as PSG would be hoping to make some money on the £30+million that they paid to land him.
