Manchester United Football Club finished their first season under Jose Mourinho with two trophies in the bag. The Red Devils are loving life under new guidance and now comes the transfer period, allowing the boss to build even further.
The latest name we’ve been linked to is Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain, a 24-year-old winger who is supremely talented. The rumours come from the usually reliable Sport Witness, who say that contact has been made about the Brazilian, with Jose Mourinho weighing up the potential transfer.
It looked for all the world like United were going to snap up Lucas as a teenager back in 2012, but eventually, he chose to move to Ligue 1 which seemed quite an ill-informed decision at the time.
Now five years on, the Old Trafford club could be set to test PSG’s resolve, but only if Mourinho sees fit.
In terms of competition, there is plenty of options for the manager on the right. Obviously, we have Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Henrikh Mkhitaryan who can all play there. Not one has nailed down the spot and made it their own, however, which could well mean the boss may be persuaded into spending money to improve that area.
