Manchester United make contact with winger’s representatives regarding potential summer move: report

Manchester United Football Club have made initial contact with Ante Rebic’s representatives about the possibility of a summer move.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who say that Jose Mourinho and company are exploring the option of signing the Eintracht Frankfurt right-winger following an excellent World Cup from the Croatia superstar.

Interest in Rebic is high, with Bayern Munich and Arsenal also linked with a move for the Bundesliga-based attacker, so acquiring his signature certainly won’t be easy.

At 24, Rebic is young, yet with experience under his belt. There is still room for growth from him, and a move to a club with an increase in quality would only be a good thing for his career moving forward.

Right-wing has become a real issue lately. United are pretty stacked on the left-hand side without having real strength in depth on the opposite flank. In my opinion, it seems as though the writing is on the wall for Anthony Martial, who will likely leave during this window.

It makes sense to replace him for someone on the right, because at the very least, it’d bring more balance to the squad. The only concern with Rebic is that he can be hot-headed at times, it’d be somewhat annoying if that petulance cost us a game or two throughout the course of a season.
