The January transfer window is almost upon us, and Louis van Gaal will be keen to delve into the transfer market to try and bolster his squad. As Gary Neville said earlier in the week, if United make a couple of signings, we could well make a real charge for the title.
According to L’Equipe, one man on United’s radar is PSG striker Edinson Cavani. The French publication go on to say that United have made initial contact regarding the Uruguayan, but they were reportedly immediately knocked back by the Ligue 1 leaders.
If somehow United could tempt PSG into parting with one of their prized assets it’d certainly come at a huge cost. The 28-year old is certainly at the peak of his powers at the moment, and if we were able to lure him to Old Trafford he could well turn into that regular goalscorer that Louis van Gaal has been craving.
