Manchester United could make a sensational move to bring in Manchester City’s Joe Hart if David de Gea leaves the club. That’s according to The Sun, who writes that the Englishman will be targeted if De Gea moves to Real Madrid over the transfer period.
The report says that Madrid could revive their interest in the Spaniard, in a deal worth up to £60million. De Gea is one of the best in the business when it comes to playing in between the sticks, and it does seem inevitable that one day, we will lose his services to Los Blancos.
However, in terms of a replacement, surely we can do a whole lot better than Hart? If he isn’t deemed good enough for City, then that should mean he isn’t United quality either.
This is a man who makes an awful lot of costly mistakes both domestically and internationally, and he’s genuinely not fit to lace David de Gea’s boots. It’d be such a downgrade for us to go from one of the best in the business to a flop – and that’s before you consider the fact that he plays for one of our biggest rivals.
