Manchester United Football Club take on Chelsea this coming Saturday, with Jose Mourinho looking to get one over on his former employers at Stamford Bridge.
Before that, the Red Devils are sweating on the fitness of some key players. Marouane Fellini and Nemanja Matic are both injury doubts, as is Jesse Lingard.
Last night, the latter took to social media to explain that he’ll be back on the pitch ‘soon’, although concerningly, his injury ‘will take time’…
.@JLingz back on the pitch soon, my injury will take time but will be back stronger than ever ❤️?? #JLingz pic.twitter.com/gLEXAGjK7d

Now I know this tweet was rather vague. Heck, we’re not even sure what the issue is at this point. However, the fact that he claims that he will need time concerns me. You can read between the lines on this one, but my hunch is that he won’t be available this weekend. Following that, who knows?
United have some tough games coming up. Following Chelsea, there is a Juventus double-header just on the horizon that could shape our Champions League position, while league games against Manchester City and Liverpool aren’t too far away, either.
We need Lingard back as soon as possible. His movement, his off-ball ability is brilliant. Not many have his skill-set, plus, he’s one of very few United players who can start in that right-wing spot.
