Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is considering leaving Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
That’s according to The Metro, in an exclusive. They say that the Basque-born man is disappointed at the Red Devils’ delay in offering him a new contract at the club. Now, he’s looking at options elsewhere.
Herrera will be free to speak to other clubs when the winter window rolls around, and you can hardly blame him for wanting his future sorted sooner rather than later.
I just don’t understand what United are playing at right now. Why not just get Herrera tied down? He’s obviously an important squad player to manager Jose Mourinho. Why risk losing him for nothing next summer?
It’s eerily Arsenal-like at United at this point. They lost several big names on free transfers due to letting players enter their final year. I get this horrible feeling that Old Trafford is an unhappy place to be right now.
Let’s try to change morale by offering players the money they deserve. There are far too many stars with contracts running down, including Herrera. Hopefully, the club can get this deal done as soon as possible.
