Manchester United may still add another midfielder with £35million battle on the cards

Manchester United have made some insanely brilliant transfers during this summer window, and all without Champions League football on the table for any new arrivals. Jose has always stressed that only four new faces would come through the door, but that could well change now.

The Manchester Evening News say that a move for PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi may still happen, with the French champions wanting around £35million for the France international.

The English media outlet reckon that Matuidi could hand in a transfer request, making it easier to obtain his signature if he wants to leave his current club. There is no doubting that the 29-year-old would be another wonderful piece of business.

It’s crazy to think that a midfield which has been so poor over the last few years could have been transformed in the space of a couple of weeks. Matuidi and Pogba complimented each other wonderfully during the European Championships, and if we add him, it’d be our fourth Frenchman in the squad, so he’d certainly have plenty of friends.
