Manchester United may well have another Marcus Rashford on their hands

This season has been one for Manchester United to remember in terms of promoting youth through their academy – with debuts given to the likes of Marcus Rashford, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and many more.

Without doubt the biggest success story so far has been Marcus Rashford, and Manchester United may have another man built in a similar way to the local lad.

Ashley Fletcher has spent the second half of this season on loan at Barnsley, and when he made the move his club were sitting close to bottom of League One.

However today, they sealed their promotion to the Championship, and Ashley Fletcher’s goals were a huge part of that; Including a stunning goal in the final.

The striker has scored eight goals in 28 games for Barnsley, and what a six months it has been for the 20-year old. He has gained some valuable experience, scored some important goals and he’ll be leaving Oakwell with two winners medals.
