Manchester United’s summer transfer plans will already be well underway, with Louis van Gaal and the Manchester United board making arrangements regarding who to sign when the window opens this June. Another rumour has been floated around by the press today, and its another big one.
According to the usually reliable Gianluca Di Marzio, an Italian journalist, Manchester United board members have met with the agent of AS Roma’s Kostas Manolas; The 24-year old Greek defender who has been a real stalwart for the Serie A side this season.
The Greek international has pace, power, a real ability in the air as well as brilliant knowledge and understanding of the game. However signing him won’t be easy as Chelsea are also interested in bringing in Manolas, which will only increase the potential transfer fee if Manchester United approach AS Roma about signing him.
