Manchester United could still lose Marouane Fellaini in this transfer window, with Sky Italia confirming that AC Milan are pushing to try and sign the Belgian before the window closes at the end of the month. Following their prolonged interest in the midfielder.
Fellaini has turned into somewhat of a scapegoat at Old Trafford over the last few weeks, having played in every game due to injuries and suspensions suffered by Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
He did extremely well under Louis van Gaal last term, and was a mainstay in the starting line-up, but this season that has changed dramatically.
I don’t think many United fans would be all that bothered if the club were to part with the 27-year old central midfielder, because at the end of the day he has never felt like a Manchester United type player.
If the club can somehow recoup some of the £27million that they paid for Fellaini, you’d feel it’d be more than worthwhile to part with him whilst he still has some sell-on value.
