Manchester United Football Club won’t play for another week due to the international fixtures, but ahead of that game the club could have just received another major blow – with a second player (following Luke Shaw) likely to be out for the season.
Michael Carrick started in England’s 2-0 defeat against Spain last night, and according to the BBC, the experienced central midfielder suffered ligament damage and could be out for the season.
When leaving the stadium he was spotted on crutches which obviously doesn’t look good for the 34-year old from Wallsend.
Hopefully the damage isn’t as bad as initially feared, because if his season is done we may not see him play for the club again. He isn’t getting any younger and he isn’t having the best of seasons so far.
Whatever the damage, we wish you a quick and healthy recovery.
