Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba drops clearest hint yet he wants to leave

Manchester United Football Club broke the bank to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford. The midfielder is up there amongst the very best in his generation.

He’s shown that for Juventus, while always maintaining a high level for his country. It’s at Old Trafford where those lacklustre displays have happened; all too often I might add.

Now two-years deep into his return ‘home’, things don’t look any different as to how they did when he made the decision to head back to Manchester. Rumours were rife over the summer regarding a potential move away from the Theatre of Dreams.

That deal obviously didn’t happen, but it looks as though it wasn’t for the want of trying, as Pogba has suggested ‘who knows’ what’ll happen over the next few months as he hints at a potential January exit.

“My future is currently in Manchester.” Pogba told Sky Sports Germany, per the BBC.

“I still have a contract, I am playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the next few months.”

To me, this sounds like a man who wants to leave the current situation he is in. That’s fair enough, but coming out and admitting it, after the transfer window has passed, just isn’t very smart.

He’s practically making it public knowledge that he wants to depart United. That’s fair enough, but does he really think he’ll be allowed to leave in the middle of the current season? Not a chance that is happening.

Honestly, if he doesn’t want to be here, that’s fine. I’d stick him on the bench, though. Why on earth should he be starting every week (while putting in bang average performances I might add), when there are hungry players waiting in the wings to come in and take his place.
