Manchester United’s injury crisis has worsened once again, as Michael Carrick has been ruled out of action for England due to a groin injury. The midfielder has only just returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and although the extent of the damage hasn’t been revealed yet, it is almost certain to keep him out of England’s next two games.
Manchester United seemingly cannot catch a break on the injury front at the moment. It seems when we get one player back, we lose two more and that has been the case for the last few years.
You start to question whether it is just pure bad luck, or its something to do with the training methods, or facilities. Maybe we just have a bunch of injury-prone players [particularly defenders], and possibly Louis van Gaal will ship some of those out in the not too distant future.
