Manchester United’s summer transfer window was certainly one of progression and rebuilding, with Louis van Gaal clearing out plenty of dead wood whilst bringing in some superbly talented players like Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Anthony Martial.
One player who the club tried to offload, but failed to do so was Victor Valdes, after the experienced Spaniard had a huge falling out with the manager.
Several clubs were interested in signing the goalkeeper, but eventually all fell short of securing the signature of the veteran.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Sevilla will revive their bid to sign Victor Valdes from Manchester United this January – ending his Old Trafford hell.
Its certainly in the best interests of all parties to let Valdes go. He wanted regular playing time from minute one and that is something United haven’t been able to give him. With the club signing Sergio Romero, as well as keeping hold of David de Gea and the emergence of Sam Johnstone. He is now fourth choice and unlikely to ever play for the club again.
