The January transfer window is now just over a month away, with Louis van Gaal plotting more potential incomings in the middle of the season. Its clear that the Iron Tulip has been chasing that marquee signing since his arrival at the club, but that hasn’t happened yet.
It could be about to change though, as according to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Arjen Robben at Bayern Munich.
The experienced Dutchman has worked with Louis van Gaal before, and it is thought that Bayern could be prepared to listen to offers for the 31-year old, as their star man Robert Lewandowski prefers to work with Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman.
Robben is one of the best players on the planet, and he’d certainly come at a huge price. There is no denying that he would be a fantastic addition to the squad, but it’d only be in the short-term.
