Manchester United move in for William Carvalho

Manchester United have reformed their interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, according to reports in Portugal. Manchester United have been keeping tabs on the youngster for a while now, and look set to finally make their move on the 6’2 midfield enforcer.

It was thought that David Moyes was a big admirer of Carvalho, and a deal was in place to bring the 22-year old in, but Louis van Gaal wasn’t keen on him. However that could have changed.

David Moyes also worked on deals for Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera for months, before the Scot was infamously sacked three games before the end of the season.

Personally I still feel we need at least one more midfielder, and whether it be William Carvalho, Nigel de Jong or Arturo Vidal, I’ll be happy.

Would William Carvalho be a good partner alongside Ander Herrera? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
