Manchester United take on West Ham tomorrow, with Louis van Gaal looking to get his side back to winning ways following a somewhat disappointing 1-1 draw away at Leicester last time around. The gaffer has plenty of selection dilemmas on his hands, with several key injuries meaning his squad is looking depleted.
According to Samuel Luckhurst, Guillermo Varela, the young defender, is set to be included in Manchester United’s eighteen man squad for the game tomorrow, and could get a huge opportunity if he manages to get on the pitch.
The 22-year old is predominantly a right-back, but is capable of playing all across the back four – which is probably what appeals to Louis van Gaal.
Varela is yet to make his senior debut for Manchester United since arriving in 2013, but he has always impressed for the youth sides, and even managed to make 30+ appearances whilst on loan at Real Madrid’s development side last term.
