Manchester United have been struggling in the final third recently, Anthony Martial aside of course… However, it seems as though the club is looking to try and fix that problem.
Reports have now emerged suggesting that the Red Devils are now favourites to sign the emerging England superstar, Jadon Sancho. That’s according to the Daily Mirror, per Bleacher Report.
Sancho, 18, left Manchester City a year or so ago in order to earn regular playing time elsewhere. This season, he has been flying for an in-form Borussia Dortmund side, which recently led to the young man earning his first Three Lions call-up.
Obviously, the German giants would prefer to keep ahold of the talented England winger, but if they were to let him leave, he’d certainly cost a pretty penny.
Then there is the question whether City would have some sort of buy-back clause in Sancho’s contract, which would make them immediate front-runners should they choose to activate it.
There is no doubting Sancho’s talent, he looks a superb player. United need help on the right-wing, the Englishman could fill that void if Mourinho deems him good enough. However, I’d much prefer to see the club delve into the market for a proven commodity with experience, rather than spending big bucks on another up-and-comer…
