Manchester United have only completed the one deal so far with a move for Victor Lindelof done. Now, it is up to Edward Woodward to try and push more deals over the line, and a man that has constantly been linked with an Old Trafford move is Ivan Perisic of Inter Milan.
Now today, the usually reliable Gianluca Di Marzio has offered us an update in that saga. The Italian journalist is claiming that if the Red Devils want to land their man, they’ll have to up their offer from €40m (£34m) to €50m (£43m).
However, he has added that a deal could be in place if the fee is met, meaning the Serie A club are willing to deal, as long as the price is right for them of course.
Jose Mourinho is a manager who knows exactly what type of player he needs and requires to strengthen his playing squad, and I’d go as far as saying that he is the best in the business at identifying a problem within a squad and then fixing that issue.
The left-wing spot wasn’t really locked down by one individual last term, although the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial had opportunities. So there is potentially an opening in the starting line-up.
