Manchester United offer unlikely trial to Soccer Aid star – report

Manchester United Football Club have offered a trial to an unlikely source, according to the English media outlet, The Sun. They say that Jose Mourinho has offered The Only Way is Essex star Mark Wright a two-week trial at the Theatre of Dreams.

It’s official. Silly season has well and truly begun. Manchester United have been linked with a whole host of names over the years, but this has to be the most ridiculous rumour of the lot so far – even surpassing the Usain Bolt rumours.

This comes off the back of a Man of the Match display put in by Mark Wright in UNICEF’s Soccer Aid game which was held at Old Trafford on Sunday. Wright scored an absolute screamer from a dead-ball situation, and on the whole acquitted himself well at left-back.

As we all know, Soccer Aid is all in aid of a good charitable cause, but the level in which the game is played at is so far from Premier League standard.

To even think that a player from a reality TV show could cut it in the Premier League is borderline insane, and I highly doubt this move will happen.
